job description

Our client, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to oversee ITP's Wpp's Design, assurance, MCR documents to close ut a rail project in South London



Knowledge & key skills

- EXPERIENCE ON MAJOR RAIL PROJECTS
* Proven Mechanical background
* To have a qualification(s) within the mechancial field of expertise, preferbaly a degree.
* Excellent communication, leadership and people management skills.
* Experienced in Design, redline drawings, dealing with subcontrators and all assurance processes.
* Technically conversant with all relevant industry standards, specifications and practices

Duties:

- ITP's

o closing out review comments from the client

o reviewing documentation prior to submission to the client for approval

- MCR's (Material Approvals)

o Reviewing the systems and submitting and remaining (circa 30 mech items)

o Selecting the correct products for approval (reviewing the existing eb/approved products list in the first instance)

- WPP's

o Reviewing WPP's and amending as applicable

- Design

o Reviewing designs, following the Field Change process and raising RFI's where appropriate

- QA

o Ensuring the works on site are in accordance with the WI, Design, MCR's and manufacturers requirements

o Facilitating and adhering to the IRF/IRN process
