Salary: £35k - £45k DOE + Benefits Location: Normanton, West Yorkshire Title: Mechanical Design EngineerJob Type: Permanent Randstad is working with a specialist engineering company that designs and builds extractive metallurgical equipment for the metals refining industry. The Mechanical Design Engineer will provide both project engineering and original mechanical design for various projects ensuring that procedures and design standards are followed and are traceable.Duties Include:Initial calculations to enable mechanical design to progressConcept through to detailed design of process plant for example; furnaces, material handling, gas handling equipment.Document all stages of the design process.Create Quality and Technical Documentation to be released with Process PlantProcurement and supplier managementTechnical customer liaison and post-sales support.Supervision of plant installation and commissioning.Required Skills & Qualifications:HNC Mechanical Engineering min. BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering preferred.Excellent knowledge of 2D and 3D parametric modelling. AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault. Technical documentation. Initial calculations through to design decision documentation, detailed 2D drawings, operations and maintenance manuals.Ability to deal directly with suppliers and clients.Minimum 5 years experience in one or more of the following;Hydraulics Heavy industrial plant experienceMoving/automated plant experienceAny exposure to thermal applications would be a bonus Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
