Randstad is supporting NHS mental health wards within the Greater Manchester area. The shifts for mental health nurses are available in many different settings such as; acute, older adults, working age, PICU, mixed gender, rehabilitation, adolescents, assessment wards.

Responsibilities:



* Caring for patients with acute conditions - building relationships and responding to their physical and emotional needs, while delivering effective care
* Dealing with the specific symptoms of mental illness, de-escalating stressful situations and helping patients overcome challenges
* Interacting with patient's families and other care staff - offering advice and information on patient's conditions
* Preparing and maintaining patients records, producing care plans and risk assessments

Requirements:



* Registered Mental Health Nurse (band 5 or higher)
* 6 months experience within the NHS/Mental Health
* Nursing Degree
* MVA training within 1 year (Can be provided if required)
* Effective communication skills
* Positive attitude
* Deliver outstanding quality care
* Work as part of the team; where the setting will be unpredictable and busy
* Have an active PIN and membership with the NMC
* Strong experience and confidence within NHS ward settings
