Are you a caring, compassionate and hard-working Mental Health Nurse who is looking for a job within an organisation devoted to helping the most vulnerable in society? A charitable organisation in central Newcastle upon Tyne currently need a Mental Health Nurse to provide support and assistance to a very exposed client group, for 18.5hrs per week (2.5 days)


As a Mental Health Nurse working within the charity, you will be responsible for carrying out holistic assessments on individuals who meet the referral criteria of the service, to determine their suitability for what the service can provide.

Responsibilities for this Mental Health Nurse role include:
- Ensuring all care is evidence-based and all interventions take into account service users' specific physical, cultural, psychological and age-related needs.
- Reporting all progress to the referring agent and keeping them informed of the client's progress with the service
- Establishing good working relationships with other local services, including CMHT's, Primary Care Mental Health teams, social services and voluntary organisations.
- Being an active member of the multi-disciplinary team and to attend pathway meetings and other work led meetings as required
You can agree your working pattern at interview stage - the team are flexible and will try and accommodate your personal circumstances.


The following criteria must be met to be eligible for this post:
- Current and valid NMC registration
- Qualification in Mental Health Nursing (diploma or degree)
- Post-qualification experience working as a Mental Health Nurse
- It is beneficial, but not essential, to have worked in a community mental health setting previously
