Mobility Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mobility Officer based in a Housing Association in East London.


Post: Mobility Officer

Rate: Circa £25,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience plus £1,300 per annum Essential Car User Allowance

There is the possibility to work out of the Berkshire office if more suitable.

We are looking for an experienced Mobility Officer to be responsible to proactively seek opportunities to mobilise residents whilst delivering an excellent customer experience.


The main duties of the role are as followings;



* To take responsibility in contributing to the team's achievement of its objectives regarding mobility of our residents, whilst operating in line with the association's values and delivering the highest levels of customer service, having regard for resident satisfaction and key performance indicators at all times.
* Proactively managing and co-ordinating a caseload of mutual exchanges to ensure the Trust's properties are maximised. Providing a dedicated match makers service and facilitate chain lets. Whilst providing support and guidance to all customers throughout the journey.
* Using strong negotiation and influencing skills to work collaboratively with other Trust teams to support the delivery of the lettings policy, in doing so contributing to performance and financial strength.
* To be passionate in developing and maintaining excellent relationships with key stakeholders, partners and residents.

Requirements



* To be passionate and responsible for demonstrating the highest levels of customer service in a demanding, public facing environment.
* Housing sector experience and an appreciation of the lettings role and its impact on business performance.
* Knowledge of welfare reform and the impact this has on housing with a basic understanding of benefit advice.
* Car owner / Driver is essential.
