Quality Technician required on a contract basis to join an industry leading manufacturing business.Are you looking for an exciting opportunity at the forefront of manufacturing technology? If you are seeking an exciting technical challenge then this is the contract role for you!You will play a key role in and be the key link between the production line to the quality / manufacturing engineering teams. You will develop relationships with the key team members in order to facilitate successful production. Ensuring quality issues are contained and corrective actions are taken to resolve issues with as little disruption to production as possible. Work with supplier quality engineers to raise supplier quality concerns.Key responsibilities:Executes processes, plans and tools that support global quality systems or related processesExecutes global quality processes as defined in the Quality Management SystemCoordinate and conduct internal quality auditsAdminister area metrics and submit local training and documentation as necessarySupport certification activitiesCollect customer defect reportsObtain disposition of non-conforming material through analysis of defects and identification of cause.Takes necessary steps to isolate defective material and to ensure uninterrupted shipments to customersTrack the progress of corrective actions across the business to ensure a speedy response to a resolution.Experience required:Bachelor's Degree Engineering/Manufacturing/Maintenance OREquivalent relevant experience within a role within engineering or manufacturingWorking knowledge of relevant engineering, manufacturing and/or maintenance and standards and practices, including knowledge of inspection equipmentGood interpersonal, communications, teamwork and collaboration skillsAbility to read engineering drawingsAbility to work with diverse teams of employees and customersPersonal computer skills and the ability to use standard software toolsGood written and oral communications skillsThis is an awesome opportunity to be part of a leading manufacturing business which offers an interesting, varied and exciting workload coupled with a motivated and passionate culture.
