Noise Enforcement Officer
*£20-£21 per hour*
A local authority based in North London is looking for an excellent candidate To undertake borough wide enforcement which reduces the impact of environmental crime, noise nuisance and pollution.
Responsibilities:To contribute towards delivering the highest standards of environmental quality within Lambeth, in line with the expectations of those who live, work and visit the borough.To ensure that all aspects of the relevant enforcement agenda are effectively covered and to work flexibly, including scheduled out of hours and weekend activity.To investigate environmental crime, noise nuisance and pollution offences on behalf of residents and other stakeholders and utilise the full range of statutory powers to take robust enforcement action to tackle offending behaviour.To deliver effective Street Market support services on behalf of licensed street market traders and other service users.To carry out field monitoring of noise, vibration and pollution and prepare technical reports as required.
Requirements:At least one years experience in the delivery of similar front-line enforcement / regulatory functions.A demonstrable understanding of the legislative framework relating to environmental crime and noise nuisance.A degree level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and evidence of continuing professional development, or experience (one year) and evidence of professional development where no degree is held.
