Noise Officer - Gloucester

Are you looking for a change in Career? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Noise Officer based in Gloucester for a Local Authority.

Post: Noise Officer

Rate: £35 an hour

We are looking for an experienced Noise Officer to undertake a range of professional and specialist duties within and interdisciplinary team and to concentrate on the investigation and control of noise from all sources including domestic, commercial, industrial and entertainment premises and to act in consultative role on licence application involving liaison with the Licensing Service.

The main duties of the role are as followings;



* Ensure compliance with appropriate legislation, Council Policies, the Council Constitution, Financial Rules and other requirements of the Council.
* Initiate enforcement action, where necessary, relating to infringements of relevant legislation.
* Deal with reactive complaints work, noise and nuisance investigations, including advice to Planning Development Control in respect of planning applications.
* Promote the development of a high quality individual need led service, to comply at all times with the Council's policies and procedures, practically those regarding Data Protection, Equalities and Diversity and Health and Safety.

Requirements



* Experience within the Public Sector.
* Require someone who is extremely proficient in statutory nuisance, pollution and reactive noise work.
* May require some Out of Hours work.
