A local authority I work closely with are on the lookout for a Commercial Nuisance & Pollution Officer to take the lead on and personal responsibility for the full range of Noise and Licensing Enforcement case work including an understanding of Licensing Act 2003 and Nuisance (Environmental Protection Act 1990) and Control of Pollution and the processing of highly complex and correspondence.
- Investigation of service requests, including programmed inspections and use of appropriate enforcement action
- Inspecting commercial premises and public spaces, ensuring both are compliant in line with the Environmental Protection Act 1990 / Licensing Act 2003.
- Prepare appropriate specifications, reports, notices, schedules and other related documentation and initiating prosecutions for failure to comply with statutory instruments where appropriate.
- Commercial Noise/Nuisance/Pollution experience within a local authority/housing association environment is highly desirable
