Are you looking for a flexible role where you can earn whilst you learn?

As an academic note taker you would be providing crucial support to students with disabilities allowing them to unlock their learning potential

Randstad Student and Worker support are looking for hard working and reliable individuals to provide note taking and study assistance support for students at the University of Hertfordshire

As a student support worker you will be required to attended several different lectures, seminars and work shops with the student in order to take down clear and effective notes, something that some students may have difficulty with due to their disabilities.

Responsibilities:

By providing academic notes for students with disabilities you will need to:



* Have clear legible handwriting, producing notes for lectures, seminars/tutorials and group tasks
* Be punctual and maintain professional boundaries between yourself and student
* Check over quality of notes to ensure they are of a sound standard and include all relevant and key information
* Ensure notes are in a format that is accessible and suitable for the student.
* Awareness of the procedures and policies within the university

Your work will coincide with Randstad in supporting the needs of the student, to ensure any queries or concerns are dealt with effectively. You will be required to act in a professional manner, maintaining confidentiality at all time, sharing information with Randstad only in the interest of the student.

Requirements:



* Be punctual and reliable
* Precise spelling and grammar
* Clear and neat handwriting
* Ability to work quickly to keep up with lectures
* Ability to take in and understand relevant information
* Adequate typing skills (may be required to type up hand written notes)
* To be organised
* Having experience working with individuals with additional needs in an academic setting- preferred
