job description

Are you a nursery nurse looking for temporary work in Bolton? Do you have other commitments and cannot commit to a permanent contract? Working on agency is an excellent idea as YOU get to choose your rota. You can tell us when you want to work and then we find you work accordingly.
This is an excellent idea for anyone who has a busy lifestyle and cannot commit to a working rota.
We have a lot of nurseries based within the Bolton area meaning you can work as many or as little hours as you like! Please see below for how we work.

How we work at Randstad..
Working on agency can be quite different to having a permanent or temporary role. We have fantastic relationships with nurseries based in Bolton and they need our assistance with their rota. Nurseries usually call us on a Friday with gaps in their rota for the following week and that's when we will call you to see if you want to work that week. We also help our nurseries to cover shifts on the same day. This could be because one of their members of staff is ill and they just need one shift covering. We also get a lot of long term opportunities where some of our nurseries need a couple of weeks covering too so there are lots of different working methods we can offer you that fit around your working schedule!

Benefits to working with an agency.
- To have a completely flexible working rota. YOU can pick your hours and days you want to work.
- A competitive salary.
- Even though this working method is based in Astley you do have the option to work in nursery's all over greater Manchester if you can get there by public transport.
- You are in control of how many holidays you can have rather than having a set amount of days.

What will be expected when working as a nursery nurse.
* To assist with various shifts that could fall between 7am-7pm.
* To keep small groups of children occupied by planning activities.
* To successfully incorporate learning through play by including counting, shapes, numbers, etc..
* To be able to work with children aged 0-5.
* To assist with breakfast and lunch cover.
* To have discussions with parents regarding their children's development.
* To record accidents in the accident book.

The process to apply for working with us on agency.
To apply for this position you must have a DBS on the updated service or the willingness to conduct one. You must also be able to provide a reference to prove your experience working with children.
The first stage of the interview is to come to our office in Manchester to have a face to face discussion on what work we can provide. After the interview and we have received your DBS and references we can then have you out to work in Trafford. If you have any other questions please call Claire on 01612001904 or send your CV to Alternatively please apply below.
