Randstad Education is currently seeking an experienced Nursery Assistant to fill a vacancy in Cheadle, upholding the positive reputation of a thriving nursery provision and delivering exceptional childcare. Candidate requirements:

* A minimum of 6 months' experience in a childcare role
* A sound knowledge of the EYFS
* The ability to project positive values, demonstrating qualities of a good role model
* A commitment to providing high-quality childcare
* A basic understanding of the Ofsted framework
* An ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and children's parents
* A DBS on the update service or the willingness to undergo a new DBS check

Candidate responsibilities:

* Safeguarding the children effectively, ensuring that health and safety policies are strictly adhered to
* Creating fun and interactive activities for the children which simultaneously develop cognitive skills and coordination
* Managing behaviour positively, maintaining discipline without having to shout or punish
* Working proactively within a team to deliver high-quality childcare
* Assisting with the tidying and setup of the nursery premises, ensuring it is always a safe environment for the children to be in
* Observing and recording children's behaviour and development, monitoring their progress and reporting to senior staff and children's parents
