Are you a nursery assistant in Manchester?

Do you have excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework and want to continue your career path within early years?

Do you have a passion for working with children?

If so look no further as we have the perfect role for you in Manchester. The setting is looking to appoint an early years practitioner for an immediate start, the hours will vary depending on availability.

About the nursery:

The nursery pride themselves in taking part in a lot of activities with our children. Activities include Spanish lessons, yoga and fundraiser activities. The children regularly take part in eco projects in which they learn about the environment whilst helping out with different projects. The nursery hold an annual graduation ceremony for all little leavers continuing on to pre-school whilst holding settling in sessions for the new set of children to help them to settle in.

The nursery has also won various awards which include: Recognised investors in people organisation, 5* food hygiene, Eco school award, The top 20 nursery group and equal opportunities employer award.

Some of the nurseries main aims and objectives include:

- To provide a safe and stimulating atmosphere to encourage each child's development.
- To encourage children to develop respect, learn to share, learn to be kind to others and develop good manners.
- To continue to liaise with local schools and members of the local community, allowing us to share good practice.

Your responsibilities…
- To assist with breakfast and lunch cover.
- To plan activities accordingly to the different age groups you are working with.
- To successfully incorporate learning through play.
- To work well within a team in order to get the task completed.
- Providing care and support for children's learning and independence.
- Being a key person to a group of children.
- Engaging children in activities and experiences that support their learning.
- Day to day care of children within the setting.
- Ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Observation and planning in accordance with the EYFS.
- Providing termly progress reports to parents/ carers.
- Development of trusting relationship with parents /carers to support the developmental needs of 'key children'.
- Safeguarding of children.
- Providing and engaging children in stimulating play activities.
- Assisting with tidying up and setting up rooms for the following day

What will you need:
* 1 years experience working with children.
* A can do positive attitude.
* Experience of working wih the EYFS
* DBS on the update service or willing to complete a new one
