job description

Are you a nursery nurse looking for part time flexible working hours? Do you want to work but have a busy schedule? We have a great connection with a lot of our nurseries in Trafford meaning we can supply a lot of temporary work to you. We can either call you on Friday for the following week and we also have a lot of same day covers in which we will call at around 7:30 and get you out to work on that day. This working method is ideal for people that are at university, have children or have a second job.

Why work with an agency?
The benefits of working on agency are that we can create a completely flexible working rota that suits your other commitments.
You can let us know your availability week by week and we can give you work on the days required. We have work all over the Greater Manchester area. We also get a lot of same day cover work which involves getting a call between 7-8 and then we can get you out to work on the same day.
Working on agency is a great opportunity as it gives you the chance to broaden your horizons as you will be working in a few different nurseries within your local area meaning this will broaden your experience. Within each nursery you could potentially be working with babies, toddlers or preschool. If you have a preference to this please let us know and we can match you as best we can.

What will be expected when working as a nursery nurse.
* To assist with various shifts that could fall between 7am-7pm.
* To keep small groups of children occupied by planning activities.
* To successfully incorporate learning through play by including counting, shapes, numbers, etc..
* To be able to work with children aged 0-5.
* To assist with breakfast and lunch cover.
* To have discussions with parents regarding their children's development.
* To record accidents in the accident book.
What you will need.
You will need at least 6 months proven experience working with children that can be referenced with a valid email address. You will also need a DBS or the willingness to conduct a new one for safeguarding issues and finally you will need a proof of address. Once we have all of this we can then get you out to work.

The application process
To apply for this position you must have a DBS on the updated service or the willingness to conduct one. You must also be able to provide a reference to prove your experience working with children.
The first stage of the interview is to come to our office in Manchester to have a face to face discussion on what work we can provide. After the interview and we have received your DBS and references we can then have you out to work in Trafford. If you have any other questions please call Claire on 01612001904 or send your CV to Alternatively please apply below.
