Nursery Nurse - REDBRIDGE (Immediate start)

A Nursery situated within the London Borough of Redbridge is seeking to appoint a full time Nursery Nurse on a temporary to permanent basis, a position that begins immediately.

This is a full time position that will require the successful candidate to work flexible hours to account for the different shifts within the Nursery.

Are you motivated to genuinely make a difference to the lives of young children within Early Years education?

Duties and responsibilities of the role include:

1 Protecting children from any harm or abuse and reporting any concerns immediately to the designated Safeguarding Officer
2 Contributing the highest standard of physical, emotional and social care for each child
3 Tailoring best practice and routines to ensure that the individual needs of each child are able to be met throughout the day
4 Undertaking a range of activities appropriate to a child's age range and/or development stage
5 Developing bonds with key children and supporting colleagues when it is most required
6 Building trust with all parents/carers, ensuring that a positive relationship is sustained through open and honest communication
7 Working alongside the Manager/Room Leader to ensure that the Nursery's vision is maintained
8 Recording accidents in the Accident Book
9 Offering flexibly and being a team player
10 Ensuring each child is collected by somebody known to the Nursery
11 Washing and changing children as required
12 Providing comfort and warmth to a child who is unwell/poorly

Salary: £17,000 - £17,500
