A lovely small school situated on vast grounds in Hassocks is looking for an occupational therapist to join their therapy team for September. The school is a day and residential setting that accommodates 40 students who are on various levels of the autistic spectrum.
The school does offer support and training upon start of role to ensure a smooth start.

Your duties will include:

* Maintaining an agreed caseload and carrying out appropriate assessments, define treatment goals, plan and provide appropriate treatment using individual, joint and group therapy as appropriate.
* Integrating and monitoring treatment programmes in the students environment, whether it be carried out by occupational therapy, care, education or therapy staff in school/college or at home by parents/carers.
* Using a problem solving approach to establish aims and objectives for individuals, measure outcomes, evaluate and review Occupational Therapy input.
* Assessing and recommending suitable equipment to enable independence for daily living and where appropriate organize for its provision and instruct on safe use.
* Establishing effective communication and liaison with other Therapy, Education and Care staff members involved in learner referral and management.
* Contributing to Education Care Health Plans (EHCP).
