Are you a Qualified Accountant with experience in planning, budgeting and forecasting? Do you have experience working with international programmes? Would you like to work for a global voluntary network where you can make a big impact?

-Act as finance business partner to Overseas Branches Team, providing support on all
aspects of financial management (including donor finance reporting requirements)
-Be the finance contact for the Overseas Branches through planning, budgeting and
-Ensure branches have finance management structure, processes, controls and systems
-Collaborate with Country Manager and branch staff to develop, implement and
maintain a Finance Development Plan of Action
-Support Overseas Branch Director in putting together staffing structure for finance
management of each branch
-Put together, support and implement a training development plan with each Branch
-Propose improvements and oversea development of financial management controls,
processes and systems for overseas branches
-Train branch managers, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and targets
and can manage the financial performance of their team, contracts and projects
-Ensure systems are capable of producing monthly performance reports, annual trial
balance, profit and loss statement and balance sheet
-Improve and develop programme budget preparation and cashflow management of
overseas branches
-Review and process grant agreements, grant transfers, international invoices and
delegate mission floats for overseas branches
-Identify and manage risks associated with financial systems, processes and anything
that may affect budget outcome
-React to emergency appeals and provide financial support to overseas branches when
-Prepare, review and support financial elements of International Directorate
restricted fund applications, reports, audits and projects
-Support internal, end of year and interim external Audit

-Qualified accountant
-Experience supporting programme teams with budget and forecast preparation
-Experience implementing and developing financial systems
-History of working with international programmes
-Can deliver financial training to people of all levels
-Highly skilled using computerised accounts systems (experience using Agresso is
-Familiar working with foreign currency monitoring and accounting
-Excellent audit and international controls (must be able to identify weaknesses
and recommend improvements)
-Able to review and develop new principles, policies and procedures
-Risk management experience
-Analytical and reporting skills
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Confident using Microsoft programmes
-Available to travel internationally for up to 26 weeks per year
