job description

An opportunity has arisen for one of our well-established clients to join their team working night shifts as a Site Painter on a static site. This role is responsible for the prep and paint process of both the interior and exterior of the site, which involves a range of surfaces such as metal, plaster board, wood, fireboard and concrete.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a painter with knowledge of commercial and construction painting techniques. As well as this, proven practice working at height is needed for this role due to using a scissor lift or MEWP's of up to 15 metres on a regular basis.

Duties involved:



* Prep of areas by washing down, degreasing, removing old paint, scraping and sanding
* Filling holes and cracks using a range of different filler (poly filler, cement and metal filler)
* Using of caulk and sealants
* Applying all different types of paint by brushes/rollers
* Moving furniture, equipment fixtures and fittings when necessary
* Working at height on step ladders/MEWP's of up to 15 metres
* Following health and safety rules and procedures
* Using barriers, dust sheets, taping up and plastic sheeting to maintain and clean and safe work place
