job description

Are you a proactive, enthusiastic PE Teacher who wants to really make a difference to the lives of our students? Do you wants to work within a thriving PE department, at a well led Secondary School in Conwy, North Wales? If so, this is the position for you!

We are looking for a PE Teacher with a minimum of 2 year's experience teaching PE to Key Stage 3 and 4. Key stage 5 Experience would be advantageous but is not essential. The school is a mixed gender public secondary school which teaches 11-16 year olds. The school are happy to support an NQT with their induction year. The role is set to start in September.

The school has suggested to us that the main responsibilities will include


* To teach both KS3 and KS4
* To plan and deliver PE schemes of work that meets the requirements of KS3/4
* To set an example to students and be a role model
* Prioritise and manage your time effectively
* To maintain excellent behaviour management and follow the school's policies
* Teach high-quality lessons consistently
* Work as part of a team and attend meetings when required


Requirements for the role

* Should posses QTS or equivalent qualification (PGCE, M.A, B.A, Cert.Ed.) * Have sound Knowledge of the UK PE Curriculum. * Have a passion for the PE Subject * The ability to plan and deliver inspirational, encouraging and engaging lessons * Strong classroom management * To be Proactive and enthusiastic in their approach to teaching * Always be willing to develop themselves in order to positively impact the lives of students.

If you have the ability to inspire pupils and colleagues, have excellent communication skills and have previous experience of PE teaching, then this could be the role for you. The school will welcome you as part of their team and you will be required to undertake all duties required of a permanent member of staff.
