Planning Enforcement Manager

*North London* *Short term contract* *£234 per day*

Are you a dynamic and motivated Planning Enforcement Manager looking to take a step into a role with management responsibility? Our clients are Local authority based in London who are currently looking for a Planning Enforcement Manager to join their management team.

This is initially a 3 month contract with the option of further extensions and is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience to take the next step in their career.

The ideal candidate would be willing to undertake the Council's responsibilities for the investigation and resolution of alleged breaches of planning control under the Town and Country Planning Acts and related legislation in the Borough.

Main Duties:



* Investigate breaches of planning control including site surveys and the obtaining of evidence of fact from witnesses and other sources.
* Determine whether a breach of planning control exists and to recommend what appropriate action should be pursued to remedy the breach as speedily as possible.
* Participate in the taking of enforcement action including the serving of notices, the pursuit of prosecutions and other actions through the Courts and the taking of direct action on site.
* Maintain planning files and other working documents in an ordered and comprehensible condition. Keep a record of all material discussions, meetings, calculations etc. Carrying out regular administrative checks on outstanding casework to ensure all outstanding matters are dealt with.

Requirements:



* Planning Enforcement background
* Understanding and working knowledge of Planning Law
* Has worked with MVM/GIS or other planning related systems
