Planning Officer (Developement Management)

*££ Negotiable* *Outer London Borough* *Flexible working*

Are you looking for a new challenge based in Essex? Our client are a Local Authority who are currently looking to appoint a Planning Officer on an initial 3 month contract, which has the option for further extensions.

The position is dealing mainly with householder applications but there is scope to progress. You must have good experience of dealing with the public including in potentially confrontational situations.


It is essential that the postholder has a clean driving licence to undertake site visits using one of the Council's pool cars.You must understand the purpose and operation of Planning legislation and of administrative functions including report writing and record keeping. They must also be able to use windows based computer software. They must also be able to manage a workload in a fast pace, target driven environment.
