        Building Maintenance Technician - 3 Month Agency ContractHours: 08:00hrs to 17:00hrs, Monday to Friday (inclusive), including one-hour unpaid lunch on each day worked; making a total of 40 working hours per week. Key Purpose of RoleCarrying out preventive and reactive maintenance to M&E Plant within commercial buildings, to the highest appropriate standard possible.Ensuring all safety, inspection and testing is carried out in line with the planned maintenance schedules.Key Tasks and AccountabilitiesTo support the operation and maintenance of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing building services to ensure all systems are fully operational and compliant.Supporting the building & services manager in the management of the specialist suppliers in the year round maintenance of the buildings Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of the engineering services throughout the Estate.Ensure the CAFM system is correctly used to capture all maintenance information once tasks have been performed. Supporting the building & services manager in producing maintenance information for planned and reactive task to create reports on the performance of the department.Develop and encourage a culture of continuous improvement and participate within the team to create an annual training plan for skills development.Support the Estates department to ensure full compliance of all operating systems, identifying risk and supporting solutions to create procedures which are clearly documented.Support the current helpdesk facility with advice and feedback on tasks issued to ensure all procedures are accurate and relevant for the asset identified.Support the operation of the electrical network to ensure all systems are fully operational and maintained to a high standard.Operate the BMS system to ensure all plant is operating at its optimum setting for energy efficiency whilst meeting the operational requirements buildings. Regularly monitor alarms to ensure the correct criticality is applied and that all alarms are registered and investigated correctly.Support the building & estates manager in the operation of the CAFM system, planning and scheduling PPM task and reviewing actions from completed task.Liaising closely with the Estates compliance and planned maintenance manager for the day-to-day co-ordination of planned and reactive maintenance of the buildings and grounds. Ensuring the CAFM system is correctly used to capture all activities and maintenance information.Assisting in the creation of management reports from the CAFM system on maintenance activities to identify areas of fault trends, efficiencies and operational improvements.Provide cover for emergency breakdowns outside of normal working hours.Act as project handover champion and ensure all systems are fully operational and the information is available and technically accurate.Experience and Knowledge:Skilled trade biased with a good understanding of building services, ideally familiar with BMS systems and controls.Knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance operationsAn understanding of Health and Safety requirements within a maintenance environment.Qualifications:A recognised engineering qualification ideally in electrical, mechanical, HVAC systems.Competencies:Planning and Organizational abilityRelationship building and Customer ServiceCommunication, including presentation abilityAttributes:Flexibility in approach, style and working hoursReliability and commitment to continual improvementCalmness under pressure Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
