        Principal CIL/ S106 Infrastructure Planning Officer£30 - £35 per hour* *London*An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal CIL/S106 Planning Officer based in a local authority in London.Duration: 3 months - possibility for extensionThe main purpose of the role is as the following;Supervise career grade infrastructure planning officer(s)Provide consistent advice to colleagues and applicants on S106 obligations and CIL and infrastructure advice planning applications/pre application enquiries and heads of termsTo judge the applications for S106 and CIL relief/exemption or review and to defend the Council's decisions for any relevant appealsLead the effective establishment, improvement and implementation, administration, monitoring and enforcement of the S106 and CIL processes, including the database of heads of terms, charges, allocations and spendEnsure S106 and CIL accounts are reconciled and lead on production of S106 and CIL reports and the transfer of CIL collected on behalf of the Mayor of London, or to other organisationMonitor and ensure compliance with financial payments and non financial obligationsAssist with reports, returns and audits for scrutiny committees, finance, other colleagues and the Mayor and for Freedom of Information requestsContribute to the Local Plan, (Annual) Monitoring Report, SPDs/guidance and anInfrastructure Delivery Plan, including liaison with infrastructure providers within andoutside the CouncilWork closely with finance colleagues on the collection and spending of CIL/S106contributionsSpending CIL/S106s: contribute to the governance processes for spending strategicCILSpending CIL: manage the implementation of the neighbourhood CIL fundsRequirements:A degree in planning or other appropriate professional qualification and a member of the RTPI or eligible for or working toward full membershipDemonstrable understanding of Section 106 Agreements, the Community Infrastructure Levy and other relevant legislationClients are looking to interview and shortlist shortly, so please submit your CV promptly for consideration.Please apply with submission of your CV and Giulia Mauro from our London CPE office will be in Touch.
