job description

About Our Client

Based in Cambridge with lots of on-site parking and excellent access from the A14, this school has a friendly and approachable team of knowledgeable staff of all ages and experience levels.
The school is looking for a PPA class teacher to teach every Monday from October half term 2018. The role offers a competitive salary based on main pay scale rates with little or no planning required.
The school is welcoming and friendly with excellent resources - a perfect set up for a teacher looking for a part time role. The pupils are well behaved, fun, exciting, eager and keen to learn. Having recently been graded as "Good" in April 2018, the headteachers are looking to appoint someone who shares their vision for improving standards and making sure that every child enjoys learning.

Job Responsibilities:

If you are committed, hard working and love to see children thrive, this school is for you. The planned teaching sessions are engaging and peak the children's interest, whilst ensuring good behaviour by providing them with clear expectations and guidelines. You will be responsible for delivering fast-paced, enjoyable and effective lessons to pupils of different ages and ensuring that learning objectives are met - this is especially true in literacy, where there has been a notable improvement over the last academic year.

Preferred Skills:

The ideal teacher will be fun, approachable and be a committed team member with a real love of teaching. They will be someone who enjoys celebrating shared success and enjoy working within a closely knit supportive team. The school is very happy to use teacher's individual strengths and skills in order to let you enjoy your own teaching style and time at the school.

Personal Attributes:

In order to apply for this role, you will need to have Qualified Teacher Status, however Newly Qualified Teachers are more than welcome to apply. You will need to be eligible to work in the United Kingdom and undergo and complete a DBS check prior to commencing any work.
