Are you a qualified Primary Teacher motivated to make a difference in children's lives? Do you enjoy working with at-risk young people? Can you find different and engaging ways to teach children who are not accessing mainstream education? Yes? Then read on, as this may be the role for you!

A well established SEMH/SEBD setting are seeking an experienced Teacher to start as soon as possible. The school which is located in North Leicestershire accommodates for pupils aged 7-16 with Social Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties who struggle to access mainstream education. Pupils may also have a statement of Special Educational Needs.

This role is teaching across Key Stage 2. The role will involve individualised learning on cross-curricular levels as pupils may be working at different levels. The successful candidate will have cross-curricular experience and the ability to manage challenging behaviour while successfully engaging the children. Within the class, you will have support from Teaching Assistants, as well as a variety of support staff around the school. The school are looking for a patient and caring Teacher who can build positive relationships with pupils promoting learning and education.

This is a temporary to permanent position to start as soon as possible.


The ideal candidate for this role will:

- Be a Qualified Teacher - QTS, NQT or equivalent
- Have taught across Key Stage 2
- Have experience of teaching pupils with SEMH/SEN needs
- Be Team Teach trained or willing to take part in training

Responsibilities:

- Teaching lessons in line with termly themes
- Supporting students with their emotional and behavioural needs
- Working proactively with other team members
- Promoting a caring and safe learning environment
