*Principal Planning officer with supervisory responsibility* *Ongoing Contract*

Are you currently a senior planner looking to take the next step up to principal level? An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Local Authority client based in the heart of London to join their team at Principal level. The role would be on a long term ongoing contract, at a rate of between £30-35 per hour. Some UK experience is essential however consideration will be given to non Uk applicants who have worked in the UK previously, preferably within London.

Having supervisory responsibility for up to 5 staff as well as a varied caseload including strategic majors, this is an excellent opportunity to join one of London's fastest growing boroughs.

You will be responsible carrying a case load of more complex, politically sensitive or strategically important, major development proposals as well as assisting the Team Leader to design, consult on and implement changes to improve the service, including policy development or setting out new procedures, processes and standards to ensure continual effectiveness and efficiency in delivering a quality service including value for money initiatives.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you have RTPI accredited undergraduate or postgraduate qualification as well as:

- Eligibility for full RTPI membership;
- 4/5years' post qualification relevant experience of Town Planning, Development Management or related work in complex urban environments;
