job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Product Manager with experience of working in either the energy or telecoms sector to work with a global professional services organisation as part of a smart metering programme.

* The energy industry has made a significant investment in the DCC platform, creating a unique and secure network that reaches out to every home in Great Britain. Looking further into the future, we explore how DCC can leverage our scale, geographic coverage, secure platform and our team expertise and processes to foster new services and innovation and reduce unit costs for our customers, the energy industry and ultimately consumers.
* This ground-breaking work is led by the Strategy and Product Management Team in DCC. The candidate will work within the newly formed Product Management team, to manage the current in-life products with the support of the Head of Product Management. The rest of the Product Management team covers product development.
* As part of the PM team, the Product Manager will manage existing DCC products, including product definition and taxonomy, specification and reference documents, product roadmap, product enhancement prioritisation and customer experience strategy. Due to the regulated nature of our activities, pricing, go-to-market and strategic positioning of in-life products will be derived from the Government and OFGEM policies and DCC Licence obligations.
* The Product Manager will engage with customers, the energy industry, the DCC supply chain, Government, regulatory parties and other industries of interest to understand their needs, define the priority of developments and report back on our products.

Role:

* The Product Manager will perform its product management role within the framework of the DCC licence and Smart Meter regulation. This will include:
* Manage our existing products and services, product/service taxonomy, and reference collaterals, libraries and product specifications.
* Define and orchestrate roles and responsibilities of DCC functions in the delivery and management of our product and services.
* Segment our customer base to inform and develop customer focused product roadmaps and inform customer experience strategy.
* Build a roadmap for our products including prioritisation decisions, driving product operational and financial performance, managing product life cycles and end of life product retirement strategy.
* Define a reporting framework for product performance, including Cost to serve/ margin contribution / Total Cost of Ownership, CSAT/Customer Effort per product. Track business case benefits of deliverables and lead remedial actions.

If you can relate to the above skills and experience and are interested in working with a truly world class organisation, please get in touch with your CV!
