    Product Validation Engineer

    We have an exciting 6 month contract opportunity for a product validation engineer to join a leading company that designs, manufactures and distributes engines, filtration and power generation products. You will be responsible for making decisions in the areas of verification and validation that impact product performance, reliability, and durability. You will be required to investigate and address potential component concerns or issues, understand causal mechanisms, recommend appropriate actions and problem resolution and document results with guidance from more experienced team members.

    Benefits:

    • A hybrid role; but during test work candidates are expected to be onsite up to 5 days per week.
    • 37.5 hours

    Responsibilities:

    • Verifying and validating the functionality of products across a wide range of customer requirements, applications and in various environments.
    • Planning, tracking, and evaluating results from a wide range of analyses and functional tests to assess product risk and performance.
    • Making quality decisions and proactively resolving product issues before the product reaches the customer.
    • Assisting in the development of Euro 7 Diesel Engines
    • Writing and executing endurance tests in the onsite test cells.
    • Working closely with the design team and the test engineering team.
    • Reviewing test data, ensuring good quality data and fault finding.

    Requirements:

    • 2 - 3 years of equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area
    • College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required
    • Planning and project management experience
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Prior test experience or component validation experience.
    • Automotive experience is preferred but not mandatory
    • Design background with a good understanding of validation will also be considered.
    • PTC Integrity knowledge would be a plus & AVL Concerto PUMA would be a big plus
