Freelance Project Engineer Required
We are currently recruiting for a freelance Project Engineer to be based in the Kent area, to start asap, working with a civils contractor, who are working on the AMP 7 framework. This contractor deal with all aspects of civil engineering, however, you will specifically be working on the AMP 7 framework for this particular contract. Therefore we are looking for engineers who have a good understanding of water projects - both clean and waste.
The Company and project
A well known civils contractor that work across most sectors within the civils industry who are working on various projects in the Kent and Sussex areas.
A 6 month (minimum) contract, working on clean water and waste water projects in the Kent and Sussex areas.
This client currently deal with a portfolio of civil engineering schemes ranging from major highways, access road improvements, public realm works, concrete repairs & reinstatements, water treatment works and specialist framework projects.
This is a great opportunity working with a well known civils contractor, who hold an excellent reputation in the local region.
You will be responsible for:
- Road notices
- Occasional design work
- Resourcing materials
- Placing orders
- Managing workload
- Occasional setting out
- Degree / HND qualified
- Essential that you understand design
- Use of Total Stations or GPS
- Experience in - highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks, special works
- Ability to explain design ideas and plans clearly and concisely
- Excellent communicator both written and verbal
- Ability to work within budgets and to tight deadlines
- Ability to work within a team
- Long term contract
- £250 - 300 per day
