An opportunity has arisen for a "Supply Chain & Logistics Projects Lead" to develop and implement program/project standards within a successful pharmaceutical company in Dublin.

You will be responsible for strategic project planning and respective goal setting. During the initial planning stages of any Supply Chain & Logistics(SCL) project, you will support by creating structured project plans based on SCL objectives aligned with the following: project deliverables, resource requirements, possible dependencies, budget constraints and needed time to market for the solution. Partnering with the project leads and other stakeholders (technical/business), the SCL Strategic Projects lead will identify the needed deliverables, the required actions and corresponding owners.

Furthermore, the SCL Strategic Projects Lead will be responsible for enhancing our client's standardized project methodology, selected in mutual agreement with SCL business and best in breed market methodologies. This standard template will be used throughout all stages of the project (from project ideation to close our review).

The SCL Strategic Projects lead is responsible for the project prioritization and portfolio alignment by balancing multiple projects, setting the priorities across projects and the build out of a common project road map. This by mapping the project deliverables and budgets to the contribution to the overall company strategy. You will monitor, together with the SCL Global Performance and Innovation Lead and finance, the annual SCL program budget and individual project budgets.

You will closely monitor the execution and progress of SCL's overall project portfolio & oversees individual projects together with dedicated project managers. It involves tracking deadlines, deliverables, resource commitments and timelines throughout the project process. The SCL Strategic Projects lead holds project leads and activity owners accountable for their commitments and will participate in project status meetings to receive status updates and identify possible issues and risks. You will closely collaborate and gives guidance to different project managers and at the same time challenges them on deliverables, KPI's, quality and timelines.

The SCL Strategic Projects Lead maps the current policies related to SCL and IT projects and goverance. He or she will ensure documentation, supporting materials and project plans are updates and readible available for internal teams, senior leaders and audit. This for usage as reference material for future projects, lessons learned or to re-evaluate the business case.

The incumbent monitors the correct execution of contracts and agreements with external service providers (e.g. technology & business consultancy services). You also assist various business teams in closing contracts and agreements in colloboration with procurement. This entitles the setup of a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), the review of the proposals, negotiations, etc.

You will work closely with internal and external partners to develop and maintain an integrated digital supply chain road map and integrating this into the overall project landscape.

Minimum Requirements:
You hold a Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in engineering, computer science or business economy;
You can demonstrate a consistent track record of successful project delivery, including at least 7 years of programme/portfolio management;
You master exhaustive knowledge of standard project management models and possesses a recognised Project Management qualification (eg Prince 2, PMBOK, PMI, Six Sigma,…);
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or life sciences industry is a plus, as well as an understanding of supply chain, operations and logistics.
