        A large, multi-disciplinary design consultancy require an enthusiastic CAD Technician to support the developing work load in their civil engineering section in our Cardiff office. The office undertakes a wide variety of major and challenging infrastructure projects for the private and public sector. The successful candidate will be offered the relevant experience with a view to attaining EngTech MICE.Essential Qualifications/Experience/Skills:Civil Engineering HNC/HND qualification or similarEligible for EngTech or working towards IEng MICEExtensive ability using AutoCAD.Experience with Civil 3D, PDS, MicroDrainage software to support designExcellent organisational and organisational skillsExperience over a range of civil engineering and transport disciplines such as: cycle and pedestrian network delivery, public transport networks and interchanges including Park and Ride, highways and junctions.Experience in PDF software and revision workflows including mark-upsExperience with collaboration management software packages and processesDesirable Qualifications/Experience/Skills:Ability to use Bentley Software would be an advantageExperience of liaising and working with partners and agencies.Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences both verbally and in writingThe Role:The successful candidate will work as part of the Highways team, with the objective of successfully delivering a range of projects for a range of public and private sector clients. Specifically, they are seeking to strengthen their delivery capacity and require an enthusiastic applicant to progress the design of infrastructure projects. This role also offers clear progression to Senior Technician / Assistant Engineer and beyond.Package:Salary £Negotiable (depending upon experience).Contractual working hours 37.5 per week.Annual leave-27 days (plus statutory).Company Pension Scheme.Voluntary Benefit Options.The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop their career within Cthe company including support for obtaining further relevant professional qualifications.
