Are you up for the challenge of working with a global civil engineering contractor on a high profile heavy civils project?

Randstad CPE currently have an exciting opportunity for a QA Engineer with heavy civils experience (value circa £300m) to get involved with a well known main contractor on a permanent basis. This role will be based in the Aberdeen.

Purpose of the job

* Working as part of the Quality Assurance Team, is responsible for checking compliance of the activities on site, assisting QA on site.
* Identifying potential defects and providing advice in corrective and preventive actions.
* Assisting Quality Manager in the monitoring and recording of implementation of the clients Quality Management System, providing help in the setting up of project plans and protocols.
* To provide advice to the client and Suppliers in good practices.
* To develop an appropriate knowledge of the works information.
* To collaborate with the rest of the QA department in the compilation of QA documentation.
* Average time dedication on site for the role will be 60% of time.


* Analyzing corrective and preventive actions and, reporting to QA Manager.
* Working with and assisting external auditors to assess the QCP/QAP.
* Preparing the Quality Audits Schedule.
* Carry out periodic QA inspections on project deliverables and Project Documentation.
* Assistance to the client and Contractors/Suppliers if required on the implementation of the QMS/ ITPs and related procedures.
* Reporting to the Project Quality Manager.
* Collaborates in colliding and organising the Final File/ HS File documentation.
* Observes internal QA standards and project requirements effectively reporting any deviations to QA Management.
* Reporting Non Conformances to QA Management, assisting monitoring implementation on Corrective and Preventive actions to prevent the appearance of any non-conformities items on sites.
* Updating quality files if required.
* To provide assessment in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions in case of the detection of non-conformities and to conduct monitoring of new actions.
* Collaborates in the identification of specifications and requirements.
* Responsible for inspection of Quality Control in project deliverables.
* Management the inspection activities and associated documentation.
* Implement and compliance with an inspection and test recording system that shall permit ready retrieval of all inspection, calibration, samples, test and/or trial results and readings.
* Ensuring all equipment used on the Project are calibrated to the Applicable National Standard or the QMS System and that valid certification is available.
* Ensure Quality Control in all activities and works related with the project.
* Ensure compliance with the quality requirements of the Contract Documents, ITP and Quality Plan.

* Civil Engineering Experience

Qualifications Required:

* Suitable scientific/engineering based technical/professional qualification such as Degree, HNC or equivalent experience
