We have a fantastic Locum Social Work Opportunity based within a Duty and Assessment Team in the Blackpool area. You will be working alongside a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing an effective, child-centred service to children in need of support and protection.

Responsibilities:



* Responding to new referrals from professionals and members of the public
* Signposting people to other agencies or completing an assessment of need, investigating allegations so that children/young people are protected from harm
* Managing a varied and complex caseload
* Undertaking Court Work
* Writing concise, fit-for-purpose reports/court statements
* Working well within a team and with external agencies


To be considered for the Social Worker ideally you will have:



* Experience of working in a 'Children's Duty and Assessment' team (desirable)
* Experience of inputting data into children's services data systems (Mosaic, ICS)
* Demonstrable skills in engaging children/young people through a variety of direct work methods
* A good understanding of the processes involved in safeguarding children
* Experience of court work and managing a complex caseload
* The ability to work as part of a team.
* The ability to write concise, fit-for-purpose reports/court statements
* The ability to maintain up to date and accurate records
