Randstad Care are looking to recruit x2 Qualified Social Workers with experience of working in a family placement team ( fostering background). We are working, exclusively, with Pembrokeshire County Council to recruit experienced & hard working social workers for their FPTeam. The Family Placement Team is a child centred service working on behalf of Pembrokeshire County Council to ensure effective fostering services for children in the community in line with the Fostering Services (Wales) Regulations 2018. If successful you will ensure that foster carers are properly prepared, screened and resourced to carry out their work. We will be looking to recruit individuals who have previously worked within a similar setting and are able to hit the ground running.
In return we can offer -
Salary - £29,577 - £33,782 (Grade 8)
37 hours a week are preferable although applicants who are looking for reduced hours will also be considered.
Fantastic pension contributions - 17%
£3,000 Golden hello ( upon successfully completing a 6 month probation period).
£8,000 Relocation package ( made available to those who don't currently live within the county... this can also be contributed to a rental agreement).
Protected case loads for 12 months.
Dedicated social work assistants to help support you in your new job.

Great support network of experienced QSW's and Management.
Job responsibilities -
1. To prepare, screen and enable foster carers to provide effective care and support to young people placed with them.
2. To ensure and facilitate contract compliance by carers and the local authority.
3. To prepare, screen and support prospective adopters and to continue that support after approval.
4. To facilitate inter-agency co-operation in all fostering.
5. To maintain full and accessible records of all fostering.
6. To participate in training in order to develop carer and worker skill levels.
Personal specifications -
1. Social work qualification
2. Registration as a social worker with the Care Council for Wales
3. Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
4. Ability to listen to and communicate sensitively with customers
5. To be able to represent the department positively through attitude, role and actions, and be able to demonstrate a commitment to anti oppressive practices and equal opportunities
6. Experience of statutory child care and related work
7. Practical knowledge of the relevant legislation and case law.
8. Experiences of court work, attending case conferences and Looked After / Pathway Reviews.
9. Flexibility in working 'out of normal office hours' to meet the needs of service users
10. Valid driving licence
11. Ability to make positive use of supervision
12. Ability to maintain accurate and up to date records
13. Ability to co-work with colleagues and promote multi-agency working
14. Ability to work well in a team setting
15. Prepared to undertake team duty cover as per rota
16. To be IT literate
