We have a fantastic Locum Social Work Opportunity based within a Safeguarding Team in the Blackpool area.

Responsibilities:



* Assessing and supporting families through some of the most complex times of their lives
* Understanding risk and working with a variety of agencies to safeguard children during times of need
* Managing a mixture of casework associated with children in need and child protection
* Undertaking court proceedings, supported by your practice development manager and team manager as required.


To be considered for the Social Worker role you must:



* Have 1-3 years' experience of working within a similar social work setting
* Be able to manage a full and complex caseload
* Be child-focused and able to implement relationship-based and systemic-based practices
* Have a good knowledge of the issues and risks faced by children in care and the procedures to manage these
* Work well individually and within a team
