Darlington Borough Council is currently looking for a social worker to join their fostering team. The authority is offering a 12 month contract so this is a great opportunity for consistent agency work. You will be working alongside a supportive team, allowing you to make a positive impact on the lives of young children & their family on a daily basis.

Salary
This full time position offers an attractive hourly rate of up to £25 an hour (Umbrella)


Responsibilities
* Hold a case load of foster carers & connected carers.
* Meeting statutory timescales for assessments.
* Maintaining accurate and up to date files
* Carrying out initial or core assessments & reviews
* Report writing
* Setting & maintaining high standards


The successful candidate must
* Be passionate about improving the lives of young children
* Having at least 2 years experience within a fostering team is essential.
* Experience of completing Form C & F assessments.
* Have an up-to-date knowledge of the legal framework for children's Social Care
* Be a qualified social worker
* Be HCPC registered
