Are you an experienced Social Worker within Children's Social Services? Do you have the passion and experience to help place children and young people who are not able to live with their families? If so, Adopt North East are looking for a Social Worker to work within the adoption service in North Tyneside Council. This role is a temporary 3 month contract with a view to be extended.

You will be working within a supportive team which is focused on improving the outcomes of families across North Tyneside.

As a Social Worker in Adoption you will be responsible for supporting the needs of adopted children and also providing post adoption support.

Full and part time roles are available along with flexible working and condensed hours.

As a Social Worker working in adoption you will be responsible for:



* Social work skills in recruitment
* Assessing families
* Finding and matching prospective carers and working with adopters in preparing them to meet the needs of children.
* Working in partnership with our Children Looked After Teams, Fostering Teams and other children's social care teams.

* Carryingcaseload and maintaining accurate, up to date files
* Liaising with other professional bodies where appropriate
* Carry out home visits
* Setting high standards is key and must deliver excellent practice, motivating all staff to do the same
