Our client, a leading manufacturing company based in North Down are currently seeking to recruit a quality engineer to join their busy production team. This person will be responsible for ensuring all internal processes and procedures conform to the quality management system. This is a 6 month FTC with scope for extension.

Job Responsibilities:
* Liaise with internal departments on company / quality related issues
* Responsible for carrying out investigations through various Quality tools including 8D, FMEA, etc.
* Liaise and investigate internal & external non-conformances, maintain data base were appropriate
* Customer complaints
* External audit NCR's
* To carry out investigations into NCR's, CAR's and customer complaints that relate to shop floor processes
* Carry out process / product audits / internal audits/external audits
* To develop new inspection criteria
* To ensure Treatments and Production customer specifications adhere to the Quality Management System
* To be responsible for carrying out systems and process audits according the Internal Auditing Schedule
* To liaise with customers on quality related issues
* To liaise with suppliers on quality related issues
* To be involved a s a team member in continuous improvement process initiatives and Improvement working groups

Preferred Skills:
* Previous relevant experience as a quality engineer in a manufacturing setting
* Experience of the aerospace industry would be an advantageous
* HND qualification or 2 years experience
* Time served engineer
* Good IT skills including all MS Office packages
* Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience in ISO requirements
Auditing, RCCA, CMM Programming experience are all essential to this role

* Excellent attention to detail and good analytical skills
* Good communication skills both verbal and written
