A new Civil Engineering Quantity Surveyor position has just landed in Sussex! Are you looking for a new challenge?

Position: Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Crawley, Sussex

Contract type: Freelance

Start date: ASAP

Salary: £300 - 350 (depending upon experience)

The Contractor:

A diverse portfolio of civil engineering schemes ranging from road improvements, concrete repairs & reinstatements, aviation projects, paving repairs, utilities and specialist framework projects.

The Role:

This is the perfect opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor working with a well known civils contractor, who holds an excellent reputation in the region.

This role will be site and office based. Whilst this contractor covers all aspects of civil engineering, you will be working on a utilities project.

You will be responsible for:



* Procuring sub-contractors, agreeing prices and letting the packages
* Negotiating costs with various parties
* Drawing up contracts (NEC)
* Monthly reporting (CVR)
* Responsible for work package change control and management
* Dealing with any pricing variations
* Responsible for project re-measure
* Preparing final accounts

Requirements:



* Degree / HND in Quantity Surveying
* Excellent IT and maths skills are essential
* Attention to detail
* Excellent report writing and negotiation skills are essential
* Experience in utilities projects would be an advantage
