Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking for a new role in South Kent? We a have a commercial project which needs the support of an experienced Quantity Surveyor now.

* Job role: Quantity Surveyor
* Location: Folkestone, Kent
* Start date: July 2018
* Duration: up to 6 months (potential for continuation)
* Pay rate: £250-£350 per day (depending upon experience)

The company:

A well established main contractor within the built environment delivering commercial, education and industrial projects to a well established repeat business client base.

The project:

A new build developers shell built using a steel frame with CAT-A fit out (the CAT-B is currently being tendered) valued approx £6 million.

The role:

As a project based Quantity Surveyor you will be working alongside another Surveyor and be responsible for:

* Procurement of subcontract packages.
* Management of subcontractors and subcontractor accounts including measurement, valuations and final accounting.
* Managing costs for materials within the budget.
* Preparation of budget documents for the Commercial Manager.
* Client variation accounts.

About you:

To succeed in this role you will possess the following qualifications and attributes

* HNC or above
* High level of attention to detail
* 5 years experience in Quantity Surveying
* Strong logical thinking
* Risk identification
* Solid negotiation skills
