job description

I am currently recruiting a Freelance Quantity Surveyor in the Sussex area. We currently require a Quantity Surveyor to work with civils contractors, who hold an excellent reputation in the local region. If you are an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting opportunity this could be the perfect fit for you.

The Project:

A diverse portfolio of civil engineering schemes ranging from road improvements, concrete repairs & reinstatements, aviation projects, water treatment works, paving repairs and specialist framework projects.

The Role:

These are perfect opportunities working with well known civils contractors, who hold excellent reputations in the region.

You will be responsible for



* Procuring sub-contractors, agreeing prices and letting the packages
* Negotiating costs with various parties
* Drawing up contracts (NEC)
* Monthly reporting (CVR)
* Responsible for work package change control and management
* Dealing with any pricing variations
* Responsible for project re-measure
* Preparing final accounts

Requirements:



* Degree / HND in Quantity Surveying
* Excellent IT and maths skills are essential
* Attention to detail
* Excellent report writing and negotiation skills are essential
* Experience in - Road improvements
