The Role:

The Regional Procurement Manager is a new role that will work within the Global Procurement and Finance team to develop, plan and implement the procurement practices and strategies required to support our business stakeholders. This role will work collaboratively within the global finance team supporting local teams to both operationalise global procurement programs and identify and execute fit-for-purpose local solutions to meet the cultural and regional requirements for the company's EMEA operations. The Regional Procurement Manager will also be responsible for crafting and carrying out purchasing policies for local buyers, negotiating contracts to ensure favourable terms and conditions, and overseeing regional ordering operations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with all levels of the organisation and across functions to execute on both operational and strategic initiatives. Reporting Structure:

This position with report to the Director of Procurement

Your Responsibilities:

* Proactively establish and foster successful, positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in the region especially operational business owners and key supplier executives. Drive engagement through formal and informal interactions.
* Provide regional management in all areas of the Source to Settle life-cycle
* Be the most knowledgeable person in the region on procurement processes, suppliers, supplier strategies and implementation efforts and payments.
* Identify strategic sourcing opportunities and lead the supply base to achieve established total cost savings targets.
* Work with the Procurement team to identify and implement global and regional opportunities
* Manage supplier agreements within the region.
* Establish, support, and manage common process and procedural standards.
* Establish and manage to important metrics.
* Identify and implement improvements to achieve cost savings and operational effectiveness
* Support operational transition activities for all new acquisitions.
* Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations.
* Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

Hiring Preferences:

* Bachelor's (4-year) degree required. Masters/MBA preferred.
* 8+ years of experience in procurement and/or purchasing management.
* Indirect Categories and/Procurement Operations including payments experience preferred.
* Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing organization preferred.
* Professional qualification/certification from related professional body (ISM-CPM/CPSM, APICS) preferred.
* Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, including ability to diagnose root causes and provide effective and sustainable solutions.
* Excellent influencing and consultative skills, along with strong initiative to proactively identify and manage both opportunities and issues.
* Strong quantitative and analytical skills as well as budget acumen.
* Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
* Strong change and transition management skills.

Additional Required Qualifications:

* Knowledge of modern procurement methods, tools, and strategies (e.g. contracting, eSourcing, bid management, supplier relationship management, total cost of ownership).
* Knowledge of accounts payable process
* Ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the organisation.
