Are you an experienced Residential Child Care Worker with a passion to learn and help young people?

Do you want to work with one of the leading providers of education and residential care?

As a Residential Child Care Worker, you will be a confident and caring individual with the relevant experience of working in that field within the UK.

The successful Residential Child Care Worker will be responsible for:



* Promoting the safeguarding of young people
* Act as a key worker to specific young people
* Provide a positive role model for young people
* Work in partnership with families to benefit young people
* To work with the National Care Standards
* To comply with the code and conducts of the SSSC

In order to be considered for this post, you must be:



* Educated to SVQ 3 or HNC level or ability to establish competency at this level
* Experience with dealing with challenging behaviours and/ or problematic situations in young people
* Have effective and efficient communication skills to allow for communication with colleagues, young people and families
* Respectable interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence and awareness of self and others
* Have a compassionate attitude and empathetic understanding of the impact of trauma on a young person, child development and the requirements of a young person in residential care
