To support the Milieu programme by working to enable residents to experience a sense of belonging, security, safety and empowerment. To take an active part in community meetings, staff meetings and all other group based forums that form the core of the living and learning experience within this residential home.Person SpecificationA minimum of two years' experience in childcare or a related field of work. NVQ Level 3 Diploma Children and Young Persons or equivalent is a requirement and must be completed within 6 months of joining. A strong belief in residential therapeutic interventions as a powerful and legitimate form of care for some young people. A clean and current driving licence is essentialSkills and AbilitiesAn ability to speak at meetings, make representations including written reports. An ability to work on own initiative, plan and manage own workload and set and meet targets and deadlines. An ability to liaise and negotiate sensitively, tactfully and diplomatically at all levels. An ability to work constructively within a team. I am recruiting for an expanding company who are looking for hard working dedicated residential childcare support workers, to work in children's residential homes (including sleepover). As a residential childcare support worker you will be working with young people aged between the ages of 7 and 18, who may have EBD and LD. As a residential childcare support worker you will be part of our valued team, you will provide a nurturing and homely environment for the young people to thrive.
