Our expanding vibrant company is looking for hard working dedicated residential childcare support workers, to work in children's residential homes (including sleepover). As a residential childcare worker you will be working with young people aged between the ages of 8 and 17, who may have EBD and LD. As a residential childcare support worker you will be part of our valued team you provide a nurturing and homely environment for the young people to thrive. A residential childcare support worker will be expected to set boundaries, lead by example and support the young people as much as possible, to ensure their transition to adulthood is the best it can be.
The role of residential childcare support worker can be challenging, but also massively rewarding. You will receive first class training and will be enrolled on a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) if you do not already hold this qualification. You will be working within an established and experienced team who will make you feel welcome and supported.
The preferred candidate will have:
Experience of working with young people in a care/community or youth setting
Experience of key working
Ability to work as part of a team
Flexible and adaptable to change
Good attention to detail and able to maintain confidential and accurate records
Problem solving skills
Full Driving Licence
Current DBS Check
Able to work shifts including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep overs
Job Type: Full-time, typically working 2 days on (with sleepover) and 4 days off on a rolling rota.
The starting salary is £8.90 per hour depending on experience, plus sleep over allowance.
