The successful Systems Engineer will assist in all phases across the complete systems engineering lifecycle; including requirements capture, system architecture design and verification and validation activities, including using installed systems at the customer site. Key Responsibilities: Heading the specification, architectural design, and verification and validation of projects, including Safety Cases.Applying practical skills in design techniques for defence and commercial applications, understanding key process tools and technologies.Producing block diagrams, detailed design drawings and supporting calculations.Practical evaluation of new and emerging technologies.Working closely with the wider engineering team to manage design changes and solve problems on complex systems.Assist with the development of the Safety Case for Systems.Work with customers to assist integration, commissioning and problem resolution activities.International and Domestic travel will be required.         Project Structural Engineer needed by an award winning, medium sized multi-disciplinary design consultancy based near Gatwick Airport. This is a mid level to senior role and requires several years experience in a similar position. The company work on projects involving the structural design of various buildings design such as residential, commercial and car parks. The projects are varied and interesting, ranging from small up to £10m in value. You will be doing a lot of site visits and surveying as part of this role so lots of variety! You will be involved in all aspects of the design process from concept to completion.This is an exciting time for this award winning practice, with expansion and lots of exciting and challenging projects. Structural appraisals of existing car parks will be a part of the role. In addition to a few years experience you should be proficient with AutoCAD and ideally Revit and Tekla.The office is located near Gatwick Airport in Surrey.
