        Spares EngineerWe are looking for a Spares Engineer to work for our world wide raw material business in Shotton. The position exists to provide specialist support to the Project and Cell Engineers by ensuring the manufacturing operation has the necessary spares available to ensure line continuity and optimal maintenance costs by ensuring optimal spares holding has been identified for each line.The salary for this position is £38,614 on a 12 month contract with possibility to be made permanent.To carry out this role successfully, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:Work with Project Engineers and Cell Engineers to identify key spares during the Project Phase, purchase these spares at optimal cost and dispose of any spares made obsolete or redundant following the project implementation.Ensure that the SAP system holds correct and accurate records of spares as Bill Of Materialswithin the Functional Location structure for each manufacturing asset.Lead discussions with the Stores and Engineering teams to identify obsolete spares.Requirements / Personal SpecificationThe role holder will be educated to HNC/HND level in an engineering discipline or relevant experience of engineering in heavy industry.The role holder will have excellent communication and organising skills, while being comfortable chairing meetings at a senior level.
