      We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to work with our Healthcare Services client, based from their office in Guildford, Surrey. This role will be responsible for managing Healthcare Services and Product department spend across the UK & Ireland. We are looking for a Procurement Specialist who can:Develop procurement strategy/offering for the Managed Equipment and Maintenance Services solutions we provide to Healthcare customers.Strategic sourcing of goods and services within their allocated categoryDevelop full understanding of current cost base within allocated categories, including reviewing whole life cost/ total cost of ownership To be considered for the role of Procurement Specialist, you will: Previous relevant experience of sourcing in Healthcare or medical environments. IT category experience is a plus.Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels, both internally and within the supply baseProven ability to undertake whole life cost/ total cost of ownership analysis, summarise results and make recommendations based on results CIPS qualification or equivalent degree level This is a 9 month maternity cover PAYE contract. The role is working in the Diabetes department of my client, where the account manager will be managing a portfolio of suppliers and products, not just UK based but international based. Key Responsibilities:Responsible for managing the relationship with selected suppliers and acting as the main point of contact between those suppliers and internal functions.Overall procurement responsibility for selected categories of materials and services.Managing supplier pricing/cost structure to best advantage and to deliver against material cost budgets.Visiting suppliers sites with the UK and international travel is required.
