Sales Analyst

Purpose of Role

The Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process is key position to help achieve its strategic objectives and optimise its performance in terms of sales, production, inventories and distribution across multiple sites and locations. By its nature, it supports the organisation to operate as one company and bring together views and requirements across organisational boundaries.

As a Sales Analyst you work as part of a team to support decision making through what if scenarios and deliver, on a monthly basis, a rolling plan for the next 4 to up to 36 months that addresses the needs of the Strip business and guides the sector and operations teams to execute with confidence.

In order to deliver this, we are investing to bring the S&OP to the next level of maturity in the S&OP2.0 work stream of the Future Value Chain initiative, amongst other things using exciting and state of the art advanced analytics and visualisation tools for big data.

Job Description



* Generate scenarios through the S&OP model to support decision making on business cases and options
* Generation of the monthly plan, including validation of inputs from operations & downstream businesses and interaction with demand planners on the demand forecast
* Communicate and work together with the Weekly S&OP team to translate the S&OP plan into the short term horizon.
* Perform improvements in and modifications to the S&OP model
* Continuous improvement of S&OP processes
* Lead & manage ad hoc short projects within the S&OP team
* Quality management in liaison with other team members

Competencies



* You display strong analytical skills, have a proven planning and coordination capability and the discipline and ability to drive to deliver an executable plan within the deadlines set
* You have experience in a business planning role (supply chain, finance, demand planning or otherwise) and in working effectively across organisational boundaries
* A Master with relevant post graduate qualification would be desirable.
* Knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning, scenario development and business cases is an advantage
* You have strong skills in the use of MS Excel and have experience or affinity with Linear Programming models (solvers), Spotfire and R studio.
* You also display good influencing skills to enable the plan to be developed and driven through the various interfaces including operations, sales & marketing and finance at several levels
