    We are currently recruiting science teachers for a number of secondary schools around Bury St Edmunds. The schools are looking for Science teachers to join their team on a permanent basis from September 2022.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • You will be part of a committed hard working department and a supportive team. You will be responsible for teaching KS3/KS4 Science.
    • Creating a positive learning environment to promote effective learning within the classroom
    • Using a variety of teaching strategies to motivate and challenge students, and ensure high levels of interest
    • Preparing and marking set work, including homework, to facilitate pupil development

    In this role you will need:

    • Experience teaching physics and/or chemistry to KS4 (GCSE)
    • A willingness to enthuse and encourage students.
    • The ability to stretch and challenge academic students.
    • The ability to manage challenging behaviour.
    • Have a genuine love for teaching your subject

    Qualifications needed

    • QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications
    • Good knowledge of the national curriculum
    • Experience working up to KS4
    • A real drive to inspire the next generation
